Human extinction

Science is key to our development. Next revolution will also come from it. Science has to contribute to keep human safe. Earth has seen mass extinction of life many times. It takes millions of years to come back and restart the same life cycle. We are at same situation. We are lucky to be living at present moment of human growth. Next two generations will be key and they will decide how human will survive. I listed 5 major causes I see which can change our fate

Ram way or Hitler way

Wars are inevitable. We all have to fight war to get our share of peace.

India is in deep grief and sadness because of Pulwama blasts. Natural way to this is anger. We are human and react to every news or incident. That’s how our consciousness works. Anger has many ways to go out. Two common ways are ignoring hatred and thinking deep to cut down power of the enemy (Liberal way). Another way is planting hatred against the whole community and reap the personal benefits on it (Hitler way).

Story telling

Yesterday I attended one session on story telling. It was mind blowing. I never realised story telling has such profound impact on mind. Being a science lover, I am very big fan of data, number, statistics, and fact.  Science loves to see patterns. Although world wants to listen stories which have same pattern. A hero , a villain and a happy ending. Most of the stories have same patterns.

Slow retirement – Idea HR should explore.

In India, HR has stuck in two way of working. All companies want its employee to give minimum 45 hours in office or person should retire at 58. It is legality. On other hand, demand is increasing for flexihours or flexi age. Some HR preaches working from anywhere or anytime and still not willing to give up 45 hours per week commitment in office.

Fear vs motivation…

There are only two way to make people run –Fear and motivation. We can induce same to get things done from any human being or team. Army mixes both well, person could die for the country, or the boss. Both ways (fear or motivation) have their good or bad impacts. All organization are like armies which are providing comfort zones and security of salary and wants people run to get it.

My learning with 100 Ted talks

We were small accounting group. Learning through corporate way was tedious. So, I decided to train  my subordinates by showing them TED talks every fortnightly. It was just 15 minutes journey with English subtitles (every week). We took breaks from regular work and sat in closed room to listen world’s best experts. Listening TED with group, it has huge impact on our life. We are more learned and awake.

Every employee is different. We have different needs. Normal shools have failed to fill that gap especially emotional needs.

#Metoo India – Change movement without direction..

#Metoo has arrived in India. It is heart-warming that girls are coming out. They are vomiting emotional secrets. It is not easy. It requires courage (lot of courage). Being vulnerable in front of one person is easy but in front of whole society needs big hearts. Salute to the girls who are coming out boldly.

Laws vs Morality

Current period of Supreme court’ aggression in India is interesting. Liberals are celebrating it – 377 gone, 497 gone. Some think that state is out of our bedroom. One Judge also stated – that adultery is morally wrong but not a crime. We want freedom. It is human nature celebrate each falling law.

Laws are there to control society. Companies are also small section of society with additional laws made by HR/owner. It is a control mechanism. Laws may be written or unwritten, they exit in even developed societies.
