Productivity is mind game. Some are more effective , some look effective, and some are just busy. Result matters and it matters in right direction. Meditation can be one solution to scan through daily time schedule and Making it more meaningful. Lets discuss factors that affects out productivity.
1) Multitasking: Multitasking is a crime. We keep juggling between tasks and in end nothing moves much. Mind should finish one thing with utter concentration and move to next one. Results matter. It comes with flow. If you have flow of thoughts, you can reach heights on particular task.
2) Daily task list: Make daily task list and finish tough tasks at start of the day. Following each day pending list kick you ahead. Keep ticking it . There is no other way. One task at a time should be mantra.
3) Distractions : Mobile is big distractor. It is tool for rise in productivity too. Use it effectively. As we over eat by switching off the mind. Same we do in mobile surfing. Mindfulness can help in gaining control. IT is game of thought flow.. You have to connect wit your goals to utter dedication. Goal and you, and then reduce load from consciousness.
4) Meetings and Follow up : Meetings are big time killers. Some meetings are productive but many of them waste time. You can't ignore all. In today's work from home environment, you need utter sharp focus on time. just filling it wont help. It should be used effectively.
5) Environment effect: If environment is too dull and boss not supportive that may affect your outcome for sure. Unnecessary emotional cross may distort your outcome. If environment is slow and lazy, you cant run things at very high speed. Each time you will increase speed, you will stuck in follow up loop and reminders.
