Effective people are productive. They know tasks well and execute them well. They don't care of success or failure. They just know good habits and have focus on them. Result comes slow and steadily.
- Knowing priorities: Make list of to-do list. If you have 100 tasks in list, reduce the list by- first people following you or waiting for you and 5 important tasks. Focus on them. Urgent tasks find their way automatically. Finish tasks at hand and don't leave in between.
- Disruptions: Reduce disruptions. Take phone calls Mails, meetings, followups and internet surfing in designated time. Create free time for sleep, work, and rest.
- Multitasking : It is a pain. It slows you down. Some activities cant mix. We need to be clear which kind of activities can be mixed that need zero mind application. Mind needs flow . Regular disruption in flow kills outcome.
- Focus on Quality Or Quantity : Some of us are addicted to perfection. They keep trying to perfect the outcome or weigh too much to a goal. No point of keep policing the shoe when it is not giving any additional value. On other hand, Some of us are addicted to number of projects we work on. Or number of options / solutions they have created. It may not be required sometimes.
- Gap between two productive tasks : We get trapped in mind flow. Thoughts don't want disruption. Mind prefer easy tasks that we are familiar with. So mind does not switch to action mode. It remain in thinking mode.
- Hard Tasks : Mind ignore tough or lengthy tasks. Emotional heavy or heavy on time task drains us. Hitting gym daily is heavy so many people ignore it. Effective people do it regularly. They know game mind plays. Our mind is very fussy. It creates story to ignore hard tasks. Such problems latter become monster to solve.
