UPSC: More weight to general studies, aptitude skills

FIVE MILLION jobs lost to sagging economy


Forget jobless growth, India's job base is actually shrinking dramatically.

Even as growth sags alarmingly and the third quarter for Financial Year 2012-13 saw GDP coming in at 4.5 per cent, news has emerged that India lost 5 million jobs in the five-year period ending 2010, according to the Planning Commission.
